Are You Interested in Learning How to Make Your Own Gourd Sculptures?

atricia Boyd is teaching new classes on sculpting gourd heads and faces at her studio in Lancaster, California.  These classes are an excellent opportunity for all individuals - particularly beginning artists, to learn how to create realistic heads and faces for their own gourd projects.

Participants will spend a half-day with Pat, receiving hands-on instruction.  Each individual will complete one gourd head during the session.  All materials needed for each class will be provided.

The cost for each class is $85.

 Classes Available!

Sculpting Gourd Heads

This class teaches participants techniques for making heads to  place on gourd projects or for other uses.  This is an introductory course designed to take participants from the beginning of a project to completion of a gourd head.  The objective is for each participant to leave with a mountable gourd head (Please note:  face painting is taught in a separate class).

Painting the Faces

Video may not display without the latest version of Flash installed.A second step in creating your own gourd  masterpiece, is to paint a face.  This class teaches face painting techniques used to make gourd heads appear more realistic.  Although this class is designed for beginners, a prerequisite to taking this class is the successful completion of a gourd head in the Sculpting Gourd Heads class.
